1. Introduction

Welcome to Ryzo ("we", "us", or "our"). Ryzo is an AI-powered life companion app that helps you track habits, health, finances, tasks, goals, and personal growth. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

By using Ryzo, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

• Account information: email address, username, and display name (required for Community features)
• Profile data: avatar emoji and optional bio
• Journal entries and personal reflections
• Health data: habits, sleep logs, exercise logs, water intake, mood logs, and weight entries
• Financial data: income and expense transactions, budgets, and savings goals
• Tasks, goals, and milestone progress
• Social content: posts, messages, and challenge participation

Information collected automatically:

• App usage data for AI-generated insights (processed locally or via our AI provider)
• Device type and operating system (for app functionality only)

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and personalise all features of the app
• To generate AI-powered insights, coaching, weekly reports, and journal reviews using Google Gemini
• To enable Community features: friend connections, messaging, feed posts, and challenges
• To send optional push notifications (only if you enable them)
• To improve the app and fix bugs

4. Data Storage

Local storage: Most personal data (habits, health, finance, tasks, journal entries, goals) is stored exclusively on your device using AsyncStorage. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly use Community features.

Cloud storage (Community only): When you use Community features, your profile, posts, messages, and challenge data are stored on Supabase, a secure cloud database with row-level security. Only data you actively share is stored in the cloud.

AI processing: When you request AI insights, a summary of your relevant data is sent to Google Gemini for processing. No data is retained by the AI provider after the response is returned.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

• Google Gemini API — for AI insight generation (on-demand only)
• Supabase — for Community feature cloud storage
• Expo / EAS — for app delivery and push notifications

All third-party services are bound by their own privacy policies and data processing agreements.

6. Community & Social Features

If you create an account and use Community features, your username, display name, avatar, posts, and challenge activity are visible to other users of the app. Messages are private between you and the recipient. You can delete your posts at any time.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

Local data remains on your device until you delete the app or clear app data. Cloud data (Community) is retained until you request deletion. To delete your account and all associated cloud data, contact us at the email below and we will remove it within 30 days.

8. Children's Privacy

Ryzo is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Data portability

10. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption in transit, Supabase row-level security for cloud data, and secure EAS environment variables for API keys. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
